Born in Vestal, New York, Suzanne received her Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1983. She worked in New York City in design studios as well as corporations including Modern Bride Magazine. After moving to Colorado in 1987, she continued working in the corporate world with positions at Pentax Corporation and William M. Mercer, Inc. In 1996 she opened her own design studio, Connors Creative in Littleton. Her main focus of work has been logo design and corporate communications.
After a successful career in corporate graphic design Suzanne was primed to move her talents from the computer to canvas. Her graphic design degree provided a strong foundation for the creation of her art. Having experimented with many mediums, Suzanne found her calling creating artistic visions with acrylic paint. Her award-winning paintings cross multiple genres as she lets each work find its own path to completion using a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, sponges, stamping, stencils, scrapers and palette knives. Her work stretches from realistic landscapes to abstract landscapes to pure abstract. Every piece has its own identity, playing off her interest in nature but always showing a fine-tuned sense of color, light and composition. |
